My heart felt so heavy this morning, as it was my last MOPS meeting of the year, possibly for ever. I began MOPS (a church-based group for Mothers of PreSchoolers) when I was a new mom, with a four month old baby, wondering what the heck I had done by deciding to stay home instead of work. In a mere five years, MOPS changed my life…with a little help from a couple of munchkins!

And one verse that I came across over and over through my five year journey through MOPS has become my go-to verse when I don’t know what to do…

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” Proverbs 3:5-6

So even though I’ve wavered on my decision not to return next year (one kid in kindergarten and the other in preschool on MOPS mornings), I saw it as a sign this morning when I saw the gift I randomly chose to accept from my MOPS mentor.

Some of the cups said “Believe,” or “Pray.” Mine said Trust.

Ever wonder if God, or a higher being, is listening to you? If your struggles are worth it, if you’re on the right path?

Well, I heard Him today.

What did you need to hear today?

Wow. You went deep today! Pretty cool about the cup!

Have something to say?
