FitQuip of the Day: 5-9-13

Thursday, May 9, 2013 – Before you ask…Yes, I eat. No, I do not have a tapeworm. (I did that cleanse last Spring. It was awful. But I can confirm that I do not have a tapeworm!) Sometimes people say things to thin people that they would never dare say to a fat person. I am sure that in my past, I did so unintentionally. Let us simply keep in mind that we are each on our own journeys, and we need Love, not Judgement.

One of the kindest things someone ever said to me was when a nurse checking me in at my doctor’s office for a checkup complimented my strength and limberness (<<Is that a word?), as well as my good levels of cholesterol, blood pressure, blah, blah, and didn't mention anything about my weight.

      Beautiful sentiment, Angela!
No matter my size, I’ve always had really low blood pressure. More than once I’ve had a doctor or nurse ask me if I was dead.
Um, no, but thanks for totally freaking me out!

We come in all shapes and sizes. And we all have our own strengths. Mind is most definitely Limberness. Which is TOTALLY a word. (At least it is now!)

Have something to say?
